Background

Xinyao (Joseph) Zhou's research interest includes empirical asset pricing, financial econometrics, and international finance. His main research interests revolve around empirical asset pricing, focusing on explaining return anomalies in financial markets. Specifically, he investigates how certain factors impact financial markets, such as investor attention, social interaction, media news announcements, and macroeconomic news announcements. Prior to joining academia, Xinyao Zhou works as a Management Trainee and Financial Specialist at Unilever (China).
