Ontario Tech acknowledges the lands and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.

This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.

Game Sound Club

The Game Sound club is open and welcomes anyone interested in sound design, music composition, voice work, or anything that's sound related. The club strives to bring the audio experience of games to life and to inspire others to do the same. In a program very focused on visuals and programming, we offer a great place for the niche of audio developers to grow together, learn from each other, and listen to great things together. We value compassion, teamwork, cooperation, and growth.

Carter Menary

President

Carter is a fourth-year Game Development and Entrepreneurship student with an interest in music composition, sound design, and writing. He enjoys playing, writing, and listening to music, and playing Dungeons and Dragons among other games.

Daniel Presas

General Executive 

Daniel is a fourth-year game development student focused on programming and sound production. He enjoys tinkering with and improving software to work better, and working with different graphics and software tools. In his spare time, he enjoys playing music, mainly guitar, bass, and saxophone, and singing; and of course playing games, with horror and party games being his favourite genres.

Anthony Smiderle

General Executive 

Anthony is a fourth-year game development student who enjoys game programming and adding sounds into games. Basically, if it's something technical or anything to do with making the game feel good, he loves doing it. He has many hobbies including espresso and guitar and loves concept albums and musically complex things. His favourite games are any games with great and purposeful game feel, but if he had to pick one genre, it would be action-adventure RPG's.

Hamraj Rai

General Executive 

Hamraj is a fourth-year Game Development and Entrepreneurship student pursuing a future in level design and project management. He is interested in a multitude of game development facets including design, art, and programming. On a day-to-day basis, he enjoys cooking, reading, and of course playing games.
