Background

Dr. Ana Duff is an Associate Teaching Professor with the Faculty of Business and Information Technology at Ontario Tech University. Her research background is in mathematics in which she holds a Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa. She began her studies in mathematics at the University of Zagreb in Croatia, continuing at York University in Toronto, from which she received her B.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics, and followed by an M.Sc. from the University of Toronto. Her research background is in Lie superalgebras, mathematical structures that hold an important role in quantum physics and the mathematics of supersymmetry.

She has been with Ontario Tech University since September 2017, where she teaches first year courses in mathematics. Prior to Ontario Tech University, she taught mathematics at the University of Ottawa, Royal Military College of Canada and the International School of Belgrade in Serbia. Dr. Duff also has extensive experience in developing and managing large-scale community mobilization and education programs in Canada and overseas within non-government and government sectors. She has received multiple recognitions, including teaching awards from the University of Ottawa and the Royal Military College of Canada, and was nominated by students for the Ontario Tech Student Choice Award.
